LAHORE: PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on Sunday said she had no plan to leave for London and would start a door-to-door campaign along with party workers in NA-120.

Maryam expressed these views as she presided over a meeting held at the PML-N’S Model Town Secretariat to discuss the strategy regarding the NA-120 by-election. The meeting was primarily of the PP-139 subset of the NA-120 constituency, of which the provincial Minister Bilal Yasin is the MPA. The PML-N workers, UC Chairmen and vice-chairmen, councillors and others participated in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Maryam said the PML-N would win the by-election of NA-120 and that the people’s love for Nawaz Sharif could not be eliminated from their hearts and they would bring the former prime minister back into power with their votes. The upcoming NA-120 by-election was not about just one constituency, she remarked.

Maryam said during Nawaz’s rally, hundreds of thousands of people outside the Data Darbar had said that the decision was not acceptable, adding that Nawaz was Sadiq and Ameen.  She asked the party leaders and workers to speed up the election campaign and assured the workers that their problems would be resolved.

Maryam said the workers should inform her about their problems in writing and she had no words to thank them. Whenever Nawaz had been ousted, Almighty Allah ensured success for him again with even greater majority in next elections, she noted.

The PMLN workers at the meeting were very charged-up and enthusiastic as they chanted pro-Nawaz slogans. Maryam Nawaz, during this campaign, is also focusing on mending fences and facilitating reconciliation between the party members.
