The Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen on Friday held demonstrations all over the province, to condemn the Shikarpur imambargah blast, last week.
The protestors denounced the Sindh Government for failing to prevent the attack and opined that inaction against banned terrorist outfits as well as security protocols, officially provided to their leaders, was the cause of unabated target killings of the Shia community.
They lamented the government for its apathy towards people publicly honouring hanged terrorists as heroes.
The party demanded a military operation to rid the province, specifically Karachi of banned terrorist organisations.
Later, a prayer was held for the victims; the protestors also expressed solidarity with the aggrieved relatives of the victims.
Protests, in Karachi, were held outside mosques including Jamia Masjid Noor-e-Eeman, Nazimabad; Jamia Masjid Darbar-e-Hussaini, Malir; Jamia Masjid Abul Fazl, Landhi; Jamia Masjid Imamia, Sadat Colony; Jamia Masjid Mustafa, Abbas Town and Hussaini Masjid, Sachal Goth.
