Ahsan, Moazzam propel Al-Hamza CC into final

KARACHI: Chinaman Ahsan Mirza and spinner Moazzam Malik helped Al-Hamza Cricket Club cruise into the final of the Anza Cup T20 League Cricket Tournament with a six-wicket win against a strong Northern Gymkhana here at Nazeer Hussain Gulburg Gymkhana Ground on Sunday.

The powerful Northern Gymkhana side was the Group B winners but they succumbed against Al-Hamza CC.Batting first, Northern Gymkhana were restricted to 151-8 in the allotted 20 overs. Fazal Subhan dominated with 28-ball 58-run knock.

Al-Hamza CC reached the target easily in 14.5 overs with the loss of only four wickets. Shazar Hasan scored 65 off 66 deliveries and Mohammad Ali contributed a breezy 57 off 34 balls. —PPI
