Imran has made a historic mistake: Saad Rafique
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan does not realise that he has made a historic mistake.
“Imran Khan does not realise but he has made a historic mistake,” said Rafique, Geo News reported.Talking to the media, he added that the day was not far when Imran would want to hold discussions with the PML-N.
The minister also questioned what Imran had achieved after Nawaz’s disqualification.“What did Imran achieve? We still have the government, Nawaz Sharif’s ministers and workers are still running the government and now we are holding rallies bigger than his rallies.”
Referring to his party’s recent activities, he said the PML-N will continue its activities to mobilise the people and the youth will also be absorbed into the party after witnessing the passion of youngsters during the PML-N’s recent GT Road rally.
He said that all options are under consideration for Nawaz Sharif’s masses contact drive.Rafique further said that the election campaign in NA-120 had started and the party’s local leadership and cadre had been mobilised to make it successful and support the PML-N candidate Kulsoom Nawaz.
Referring to the three appeals submitted in the Supreme Court pleading to review the apex court’s verdict, the minister said the appeals had been submitted and will be followed-up by PML-N’s legal team.
He also said that Chaudhry Nisar had no differences with the party leadership and that had been made clear by him while standing alongside Nawaz Sharif.Giving advice to the PPP, Saad said that Asif Zardari should advise his son and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.“Bilawal said he will not receive our call, we have not called him. I do not understand who is counseling Bilawal,” said the PML-N leader. “Zardari is a sensible person, he should advise his son.”
