KARACHI: Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has shown its inability to send feedback on draft income tax return to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as the draft form does not reflect proposed changes.
In a letter sent to FBR chairman on Tuesday, the bar said the draft forms for individuals and Association of Persons (AOPs) issued by the FBR on July 20 and July 27, respectively were not available in the Excel format therefore its members were unable to check the changes made in the draft forms till date.
The tax bar said most of the issues were identified when the forms were filled on IRIS – the FBR online ports – or on Excel format. “Until such forms are not available on IRIS or Excel format, the bar is not able to provide its feedback on draft forms,” the letter said. The KTBA further requested the chairman to nominate a representative to explain the changes made in return forms.
