On the directions of Minister of State, Capital Administration & Development Division, Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch, in order to pay tributes to heroes of the Pakistan Independence Movement, National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW) organized a function in collaboration with National Book Foundation, initiating students of different schools of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for celebrating Independence Day, says a press release.

The event chaired by Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, National Council of Social Welfare. Besides, children, representatives of Civil Society, NGOs, Students, and Officials of CAD&D attended the function. The participants paid rich tributes to the Heroes of the independence Movement and highlighted the spirit of love for the mother homeland. In his presidential address, Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, NCSW, said that to transmit the real message of Pakistan movement to our children is our national duty. Our poets and writers are playing their due role in this regard by infusing a spirit of love for their homeland Pakistan. Inn Sha Allah, the sacrifices of children of Jammu & Kashmir will bear fruit and soon, they will also get independence. The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam, had affectionate love for children and used to call them the first row/group of Pakistan movement. Pakistan is the result of countless efforts and sacrifices of our forefathers. In the light of Quaid-i-Azam and Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal teachings, it is our responsibility to work for our homeland to defend our freedom. We should promise to ourselves that come what may, we shall maintain and protect our freedom. He further said that our unity and discipline can prevent us from external conspiracies. We have talented youth which can play effective role in the progress of country. The enthusiastic participation of children in this event is the proof that our children love their homeland and will make Pakistan a developed state very soon.
