On the directive of CCPO Ameen Wains and DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf, a search operation was conducted under the supervision of divisional SPs.
Police checked 3,312 people and action 55/109 was against 26 people. Police checked 106 hotels, godowns, factories, shops and madrasas and 871 houses. Police checked 240 tenants, 8,210 motorbikes and closed 1,468 bikes.
POs: FIA Wednesday claimed to have arrested five proclaimed offenders wanted in human trafficking. The POs were identified as Muhammad Afzal, Tariq Mehmood, Arif Mehmood, Iftikhar-ul-Hassan and Mureed Hussain. Meanwhile, FIA officials conducted a raid at Qazzafi Colony, Data Nagar and took 22 samples of drugs and sent them to Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL). An electricity theft case was registered. In another raid, FIA arrested Shaukat Ali, Commercial Assistant Revenue Office, Mepco for taking illegal gratification of Rs 4,500 from a complainant for correcting his bills.
accidents: Total 453 road traffic accidents were reported in Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which five lives were lost and 317 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district. However, some 195 minor injured were provided first aid by Rescue 1122 on the spot.
