Ayesha Gulalai case: NA speaker approves formation of Ethics Committee
ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq approved the formation of Ethics Committee of the National Assembly to take up the compliant of members of the House against each other.
The Ethics Committee of the National Assembly will comprise of 20-members of the House that include 13-members from treasury and 7-members from opposition. It is expected that the Speaker will notify the committee once he gets names from treasury and opposition for the committee.
Initially the proposal for formation of Ethics Committee of the National Assembly floated by PPP MNA Nafisa Shah in the National Assembly session and the government assured that it will take up this proposal with Speaker National Assembly.
When the issue of allegations of Ayesha Gulalai on PTI Chairman Imran Khan for sending indecent messages came out and the House adopted Motion to form special parliamentary committee to probe the allegation so the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq decided to form permanent Ethics Committee of National Assembly to take up the compliant of the House member against the other member of the House.
