PML-N lawyers to protest Nawaz’ disqualification

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lawyers Forum said on Friday that the Supreme Court verdict to disqualify Nawaz Sharif as prime minister was against the law and announced to stage a sit-in outside the Peshawar Press Club.
The Forum’s decision came at a meeting held at the PHC bar room, with its provincial president Muhammad Alamzeb Khan in the chair.
Senior members of the Forum, including Yousaf Riaz Khalil, who is also vice-president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association, Hazrat Said, Muhammad Arif Khan, Ashfaq Ahmad Jhagra, Syeda Saima Jaffery, and Muhammad Shabir Khan also attended the meeting.
According to a statement, the Forum members announced to call a provincial convention of lawyers over the issue.
