No gas connection

We are living in an independent Pakistan. Unfortunately, the negligence of the higher authorities has adversely affected the lives of people. In Pakistan, access to even the most basic facilities appears to be a Herculean task. This also rings true with regard to the installation of gas connections and the apathy of the relevant departments. If the connection is required on an urgent basis, a fee of Rs25,000 will be applied. Given the urgency of the situation, the fee appears to be justifiable. However, the frustrating aspect is that the work is not completed on an urgent basis. Three years have passed and the department has yet to complete the installation of gas connection. Instead, the concerned department tends to intentionally delay all procedures and the residents are left at its mercy, waiting patiently for officials to pay attention to their application.

It is unfortunate that government servants are not interested in serving the citizens. The pleas of people go unnoticed. How will the oppressed people get relief from this humiliation?
