LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that terrorism, fanaticism and sectarianism are not the destiny of the people and such menaces have no place in Pakistan of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as Pakistan belongs to all Pakistanis who would work jointly for country’s progress.

The commitment of the Pakistani nation is stronger than the challenge of terrorism and the country will be made peaceful by defeating terrorism at every cost. The terrorists as well as their facilitators will be completely annihilated with the power of unity and cohesion, he added.

The CM expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N who called on him, here Wednesday. He said the facilitators siding with the cowards hitting police and innocent citizens deserve exemplary punishment and no leniency.

He lamented that on the one side, the enemies are conspiring to dent the solidarity of the country, and, on the other hand, some defeated political elements are creating hurdles for
Pakistan fast moving towards prosperity. They are doing it to satiate their evil ego and it’s time to maintain unity instead of creating any discord. Meanwhile, the CM took notice of the murder of Prof. Dr. Mehmood Aleem, a famous doctor of Allied Hospital Faisalabad and sought report from the RPO Faisalabad.
