GUJRANWALA: Hundreds of protesters, including women and children, on Sunday staged a demonstration against gas loadshedding at Dhulley Crossing.
The protesters chanted slogans against the SNGPL authorities and said that the gas loadshedding had destroyed their domestic life. They said that they could not cook food in their homes due to gas loadshedding. Later, they dispersed peacefully.
MAN HELD: Police on Sunday arrested a man for entering a house adjacent to the house of Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan at Satellite Town.
On receiving information that somebody had trespassed on the house, a police team led by the Civil Lines DSP along with the Elite Force personnel rushed to the spot and arrested Qaisar of Farid Town. Sources said that the accused might be an addict and entered the house to steal an electric motor. Jinnah Road police have registered a case.
