NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan said on Sunday that no one would be allowed to carry out illegal and unconstitutional activities to create rift in the party.

Talking to reporters here, the JUI-F leader said that he had named Qari Umar Ali as district chief in a bid to galvanise the party activities at the local level. He asked the JUI-F disgruntled activists not to carry out activities against the party at the behest of others.

The ex-senator said that the party meeting convened by Haji Yousaf Khan was illegal and had no valid ground as the tehsil office-bearers had no authority to elect someone for the party post.

Maulana Gul Naseeb said that the JUI-F under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman had become a strong political force and would sweep the upcoming general election. It may be mentioned here that the JUI-F Nowshera chapter had divided into two groups due to differences between the local office-bearers and the party provincial chief. Following the rift, a meeting of JUI-F office-bearers of three tehsils including Pabbi, Jehangira and Nowshera was held recently in which Yousaf Khan was elected as the district chief.
