Five drown as car plunges into river in Balakot

BALAKOT: At least five people have lost their lives after their car plunged into the Kunhar River. Six youngsters hailing fromNarowalwere going to the Kaghan Valley when the car went out of the driver's control and fell into Kunhar River, leaving five people dead. However, one youngster miraculously escaped death when he was pushed out to the river corner by the waves. The police and rescue teams have started a search operation to find the bodies. The injured was rushed to hospital. The deceased were identified as Anees, Arsalan, Nadeem, Hasnain and Shafiq while the injured was identified as Ahmed.—Online
