Trader shot dead in Oghi

MANSEHRA: The president of local traders’ union was shot dead and a passer-by injured in Oghi tehsil Friday night.
Sadiqur Rehman, alias Fauji, the president of Bakers Association in Oghi, was on his way home after closing his shop when armed men fired at him. A passer-by, identified as Mohammad Siraj, also sustained wounds in the firing and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The assailants, travelling in a vehicle, fled the scene after the incident. Local people and police rushed to the scene and shifted both the victims to the Civil Hospital in Oghi where doctors pronounced Sadiq dead. The Oghi Police registered the case.
