Students of the University of Karachi are facing a lot of problems, but the administration is not paying any attention to their concerns. Students enrolled in evening problems are badly affected. The university charges high fee for evening courses. It is unfortunate that the university doesn’t provide scholarships to deserving students.
Another problem that almost all students are facing is political influence in the university. Student wings of famous political parties have strong hold in the university. Often, a scuffle breaks out between two groups, resulting in chaos. Although there is nothing wrong in having student union groups in a university, the administration should at least make sure that they are carrying out their activities in peace. The university’s admission must take notice of this issue. In addition, the Sindh government should also form a team to supervise the admission and scholarship processes in the university. Similarly, it must make sure that the university’s premises is not turned into a fight club.
