ISLAMABAD: As Imran Khan continues to welcome Pakistan People’s Party dissidents in his party, the recent landing of fake university doctor has compelled PTI stalwarts to break their silence upon recent “changes” in the party.
Senior PTI leader and founding member of the party Ms Fauza Kasuri has spoken her heart out on twitter about Babar Awan’s inclusion in the PTI terming: “Its called Tabdeeli. Change with the times.”
She said that in the absence of strong accountability institutions, corrupt politicians will always be fine as they find refuge in one party or the other. When a senior journalist tweeted that Babar Awan has been in PML, Jamaat Islami, Zia loyalist, Junejo league, PPP and now in PTI, any party left out? Ms Kasuri replied, “Wow! Look at all the experience in wisdom, he is bringing to PTI. “Mashallah!”
Ms Kasuri, apart from raising funds for the party, has been President of the Women's Wing of the party for 17 years and is responsible for building women chapters of the party in Europe, the Middle East and the US. She has been a member of the Manifesto and Constitution Committees of the party and has played a leading role in nurturing the women and youth wings within the party.
When the PTI fans started saying that she should remain the part of thought process of the party, she replied in the following words: “My thought process is a bit outdated in the present circumstances. I still remember what Imran Khan taught us. Merit, Transparency, Accountability.”
She further said that the party has whom they want. “I am not needed. It’s called Tabdeeli. Change with the times.”
