Probe ordered against hospital staff

LAHORE

The Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department has ordered investigation against the medical superintendent and other officials of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, on charges of corruption.

According to a notification issued by SHC&ME Department, the order stated that Sarfraz Ahmad, director, Internal Audit Wing, SHC&ME Department, Lahore, had been deputed to conduct a preliminary probe against Dr Syed Nauman Matloob, medical superintendent, Dr Ather, Deputy Medical Superintendent (procurement) and Ghulam Sajjad Jaffari, clerk of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, on charges of corruption, commissions and other irregularities/tempering, etc.  The probe officer will submit his report/recommendations to the department within 15 days.
