LARKANA: Former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto’s 64th birth anniversary was celebrated with fervour here on Wednesday. In this connection, a ceremony was organised at the Naudero House.
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with his sisters Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, cut the cake to remember Benazir Bhutto on her 64th birth anniversary.
After the cake-cutting ceremony, Bilawal inaugurated the Eid Ration Scheme for more than 1,800,000 deserving people of Sindh. In his brief speech, he maintained that the Pakistan People’s Party strongly believed in helping the underprivileged people. The Eid Ration Scheme is also a part of PPP’s public service campaign, he added.
On this occasion, Bilawal and his sisters were also joined by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Faryal Talpur, Nisar Khuhro, Suhail Anwar Siyal and many other PPP leaders at the Naudero House.
Murad Ali Shah, in his short address, highlighted the main features of the Eid Ration Scheme. Following his address, the SIndh CM laid a floral wreath on the grave of Benazir Bhutto and offered Fateha.
Bakhtawar and Aseefa also went to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to offer Fateha on their mother’s grave.
The birthday cake for Benazir Bhutto’s birth anniversary was especially prepared from a local bakery and was brought to the Naudero House under special security. The birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto was also observed in Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Nausharoferoz, Hyderabad and various other cities of Sindh.
