FEDERAL BOARD: Girls outclass boys in Secondary Certificate Annual Examination

As expected girls outclassed the boys students in the Secondary Certificate Annual Examination (Part-II) of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, held in the months of March-April, 2017.
Minister of State of Education Baligh ur Rehman graced the occasion as chief guest in the result distribution ceremony which was also attended by Dr. Ikram Ali Sheikh, controller of Examinations, Ahmed Nawaz Malik besides other concerned officials and parents of the top position-holders.
According to the result announced, overall first position was shared by Qandeel Khurshid of Islamabad Model College for Girls, I-10/4, Islamabad with roll no. 157662 and Shehzeen Tariq bearing roll number 170642 of Connoisseur Grammar School System (Girls Wing), Queen’s Road, Sargodha Cantt, belonging to Science group grabbed overall first position in the examination by achieving 1034 total marks.
Similarly, the second position was also shared by two girl students as both as achieved same marks. According to result announced Momina Bashir, roll no. 174205 of Army Public School for Girls, 52-Tufail Road, Lahore Cantt and Wajeeha Irfan, roll no. 168211 of Army Public School and College, 208-Humayun, Rawalpindi Cantt got 1032 marks to attain overall second position in the board examination. Both these students also belonged to science group.
While the third position was shared by three students one boy and two girl students. The students who equally shared third position include Mohammad Maheer Mubashir, roll no. 127851 of Iqra Grammar School, Farooq Colony, Sargodha, Zahira Nawaz, roll no. 166872 of the Educators High School (The Mall Campus), Raja Akram Road, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi and Isbahi Iftikhar with roll no. 174723 of Hamza Army Public School, Stadium Road, Hamza Camp, Rawalpindi. All these three students got 1031 marks in the examination. They also belonged to Science Group.
In Humanities Group Muhammad Awais Afzal with Roll no. 154988 of Askaria College, Rawalpindi bagged first position by getting 980 marks. He was followed by Muhammad Sudais, Roll no. 153038 of Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel, (F.A), Islamabad who got 958 marks to remain second. While Zahra with roll no.198854 of Pakistan International School , Tal Al Deen Al-Makki Azizyah, Jeddah 21462, Saudi Arabia got 951 marks to grab third position in this group.
After announcement of the result, the minister, Baligh ur Rehman congratulated the top position holders as well as their parents, teachers of the respective institutions. He also advised the students who failed to clear students not to lose heart and work hard to achieve success in the supplementary examinations.
According to notification issued to the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education the Supplementary examination will commence from September 12, 2017.
