NAB Lahore’s performance lauded
LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore is strictly enforcing its zero-tolerance policy against corruption by keeping in view a vision of corruption-free society.
This was stated by NAB Lahore Director General Shahzad Saleem here on Monday.NAB Lahore has so far arrested 110 culprits since January 2017 till date who were allegedly involved in corruption and misappropriation of funds, the DG said.In 2016, NAB arrested 126 accused persons and comparatively total 994 arrests have been made till NAB’s inception in 1999 to 2015 by Lahore region.
According to a press release, the increased number of arrests by the regional bureau depicts its extended determination to resolve cases at earliest and to recover more and more looted money from them, Shahzad said, adding, all these accused persons were wanted in different cases of corruption, fraud, forgery, criminal breach of trust and corrupt practices.
