TOKYO: Pakistan Embassy organised meetings of small and medium enterprises to enhance bilateral trade and investment through direct private sector engagement.
This was an interactive session of 3rd Pakistan Japan Business Forum (PJBF) SME business mission, representing people from textile, leather, pharmaceutical, engineering and shipping sectors.
During the meetings, the entrepreneurs from both the sides met and learnt about the potential business opportunities.
Ambassador Farukh Amil urged the Japanese companies to keep up the momentum created by their active participation in such business sessions and invited Japanese entrepreneurs to participate in Expo Pakistan 2015 scheduled for 26 February, 2015 in Karachi.
Commercial Counselor Shehzad Ahmad said businessmen could find the existing business opportunities guided by the embassy of Pakistan.
Kalim Farooqi, leading the PJBF business mission, appreciated the support of the Embassy of Pakistan in arranging this business to business networking event.
He informed that if such dedicated trade teams are available in all missions abroad the export targets set by the government of Pakistan could be achieved well before time.
