KARACHI: K-Electric Ltd (KEL) earned Corporate Social Responsibility Business Excellence Award for the third consecutive year at the seventh International CSR summit, a statement said Thursday. The event was organised by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
The award marks the recognition of organisations that have made outstanding contributions for a sustainable future through CSR initiatives; making continuous strides in incorporating the best environmental, social and governance practices into their corporate culture to preserve and have a positive impact on their surroundings. The award to KE is an acknowledgement for its on-going commitment towards the community at large, especially in the areas of health and youth development.
The jury comprised CSR experts and prominent personalities from the corporate and social sectors, where more than 87 companies and organisations submitted their nominations.
