Two teenagers injured in firing

TANK: Two teenage boys sustained injuries in an exchange of fire here on Sunday, police sources said.

They said that one Fatehullah was running a drug racket from his house in Hashim Mohallah. Local sources said that the residents of the area had been complaining about the issue but the police was not taking any step to control the situation.

On Sunday, Fatehullah’s brothers and their sons wanted to demolish the house. However, Fatehullah fired at them, leaving two of his nephews Mustafa and Noor Muhammad injured.The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Tank wherefrom Noor Muhammad was referred to DHQ Dera Ismail Khan in a critical condition.

The police arrested the second injured from the DHQ Tank on the complaint of Fatehullah. The injured boy was kept behind bars despite his injuries. Nawab Khan, father of the injured boys, told reporters that family members had decided to demolish the house after receiving complaints from neighbours.

Nawab Khan said that the family had requested to the police to take action against the accused, adding that the police failed to stop the drug dealing at the house despite complaints from the family and neighbours.He asked the Inspector General of Police to order an impartial inquiry into the incident.
