Rs70m for Rescue 1122 new offices

LAHORE

The Punjab government will construct four new Rescue 1122 offices, two in Kasur district and one each in Gujranwala and Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs70 million.

According to the budget documents for the fiscal year 2017-18, the new initiatives include construction of parking sheds for snorkels at Lahore, establishment of new Rescue 1122 station at Khudian, Allahabad, Kasur, Nokhar, Gujranwala and Bucheki, Nankana Sahib. Following schemes will be completed during the fiscal year 2017-18: capacity building for managing emergencies in high rise buildings in Lahore, establishment of new Rescue 1122 station at Maraka, Bedian Roads, Lahore, Lokharan, Multan, Rescue 1122 service at sub-tehsil headquarters, Vehova (Taunsa Sharif), DG Khan, new Rescue 1122 station at Nazir Garden opposite Journalist Colony, Wagah, Lahore, emergency service to tehsils (Phase-II), construction of mosque on the premises of Emergency Services Academy, Lahore and construction of approach road to Emergency Services Academy, Lahore.
