KARACHI: Karachi United Lyari Centre recorded a 1-0 triumph against Agra Taj Centre in the semi-finals of DMC South Shuhda Army Public School Peshawar U-12 Football Championship at Kakri Ground here on Monday.
After a barren first half, Mohammad Faheem broke the ice scoring the decisive goal of the match for KULC in the second half. KULC will now meet Malir Centre in the summit clash of the tournament.
Chief Guest Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui praised DMC South for organizing this tournament in memory of the martyrs of the Peshawar school attack.
“It was a highly tragic incident where many school children lost their lives. The grief of the parents, who lost their children in the cowardly terrorist attack, couldn’t be pacified in any way. The terrorists attacked directly our hearts but children should be lauded for their bravery, who have started their studies again at Peshawar’s Army Public School along with their other compatriots,” Shoaib said.
