LAHORE: A delegation of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Salman Ali, Senior Vice President CPSP, visited United Arab Emirates on the invitation of Pakistan Association of Dubai.
Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Director General International Relation CPSP, and Prof. Shoaib Shafi, Council Member, were included in this delegation. According to a press release issued here on Friday, after the establishment of CPSP international center in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Kathmandu, Birmingham and Dublin, the Dubai center is also under consideration and Dubai center would facilitate the fellows of Middle East.
In a meeting with office-bearers of Dubai Health Authority, the delegation of CPSP briefed them about the training system of CPSP, effective monitoring and transparent examination system and highlighted the importance of fellowship at national and international level.
Dr. Marwan Al Mulla from Dubai Health Authority assured the CPSP delegation of due status to its fellowship according to its international importance and training system. On the invitation of Chief Executive Officer of Al Mafraq Hospital Abu Dhabi, the delegation inspected Al Mafraq hospital and discussed the matter of mutual interest with Dr. Harem office bearer of Abu Dhabi Health Authority.
The Chief Executive Officer of Al Mafraq Hospital requested to accredit the training of CPSP fellowship. The delegation inspected the department of gynecology and pediatrics along with other departments under its guidelines and standard and assessed the current training system of the hospital. The delegation submitted its recommendations to the council. The council will decide in the light of the recommendations.
