12 people injured in Kisaan Ittehad protest

At least 12 people including 6 cops were wounded, over 100 arrested when a mob of Kisaan Ittehad staged protest demonstration at D-Chowk.
The police resorted to baton charge and hurled tear gas shells to disperse the protesters when charged protesters tried to storm into Red Zone.
The protesting people were trying to approach National Assembly where the government was going to announce annual budget.
The hide and seek between the police and protesters continued for over three hours. Angry people pelted stones on the police party while the police resorted to baton charge and hurled teargas shells to keep the protesters away from the Red Zone.
During the battle between the police and protesters, about six protesters and six cops including three officers were injured. However, the police pushed the mob to Kulsoom Plaza Chowk and later dispersed them.
The police arrested over 100 participants of the protesting procession and registered cases under different charges against them.
