Cases of quacks to be referred to Drug Court
FAISALABAD: The District Quality Control Board has decided to refer eight cases of quacks/medical stores to the Drug Court for trial under the Drug Control Act.
The decision was made by the Board during its meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani. Total 15 cases against quacks and medical store owners were reviewed during the meeting and it was decided to prosecute against eight quacks/medical stores.
The board decided that FIRs would be registered against one medical store owner for violation of rules while cases against three medical stores were adjourned for verification of documents. DC Salman Ghani, while reviewing the inspection reports of the drug inspectors, directed to seal the medical stores immediately which were being running without Drug Sale License and involved in the sale of unregistered medicines.The DC said that regular supervision of the sealed medical stores should be ensured.
