Ties with Turkey

Recently, a parliamentary delegation headed by the National Assembly speaker visited Turkey to attend the 10th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC). The session intends to foster strategic, productive and cooperative relationships among the legislatures of the Muslim countries. Pakistan emphatically expressed the stance that all Muslim and international humanitarian organisations should jointly work to preserve religious sanctity, religious beliefs and religious rights.
Referring to the deep-rooted historical relationship between Pakistan and Turkey, our delegation stressed the need of increased interaction and cooperation between the two countries. Let us hope this endeavour bears fruit.
