Man attempting suicide arrested

LAHORE
Qila Gujar Singh police arrested a man who attempted to end his life by hanging himself in front of Lahore Press Club (LPC), to protest against illegal occupation of his house by some influential people. The man identified as Ghulam Murtaza of Factory Area held a press conference at LPC against the persons who had illegally occupied his house and the local police were reluctant to take action against the land grabbers. Later, the man climbed up a tree to hang himself outside the LPC. However, the police managed to take him down from the tree and detained him.
