PESHAWAR: The 16/12 Action Forum, a conglomerate of the civil society organisations Saturday observed the chehlum of the Army Public School (APS) martyrs and asked the government to name schools and libraries after them.
The members of the forum organised a rally from Qissa Khwani Bazaar to the Peshawar Press Club, where they held Quran Khwani at the Zubair Mir Hall for the departed souls.
Dr Said Alam Mehsud, Gul Nawaz Khan Mohmand, Sana Ijaz, Taimur Kamal, Tariq Afghan and Aimal Khattak led the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders of the 16/12 Action Forum urged the government and the security forces to eliminate all the terrorists. They asked the government to put an end to the killing of the innocent people and restore its writ.
