MPhil, PhD entry tests for KU’s ICCBS on May 14
The International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, will organise entrance tests on May 14 (Sunday) to induct students in its MPhil and PhD Programme-2017, ICCBS Director Dr Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary announced on Friday.
“All admissions will be granted to students based purely on merit under the recently announced, ‘high learning’ programme of KU; successful candidates will be admitted to the Dr Panjwani Centre of Molecular Medicine and Drug Research and the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry,” he said.
“The academic and research excellence of the ICCBS cannot be overlooked, as it is the third Pakistani institution to become a Category-II partner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.”
He hoped that hundreds of candidates would be attempting the entrance examinations of various scientific disciplines, including molecular medicine, organic chemistry, bio-organic chemistry and other branches of chemical inquiry.
Choudhary said the test is to commence at 10am, but candidates would have to report at least half an hour earlier, with their admit cards and original CNIC in hand. The test results would be announced on the centre’s and the university’s websites on May 19 (Friday).
