Riphah University holds Special Olympics

Riphah International University hosted ‘Special Olympics Pakistan, Athletic Meet and young Athletic Carnival’ for special children of Pakistan at Riphah International Hospital, Sihala on April 26 and 27.
During the two day event, special young kids of 2 to 7 years age from Azad Kashmir, Jhelum, Potohar region, Islamabad, and Wah actively participated in different games organised by Special Olympics Pakistan. Purpose of this event was to support children with disabilities for their betterment and to make them feel independent, confident and privileged. These kinds of sports activities will enhance their abilities to perform well in the society.
Riphah International University according to its mission, always ready to facilitate the deprived members of society by taking these kind of initiatives to acknowledge them , and provide them a platform, to perform with their special skills and also they can live a normal life like others.
During the event Deputy Mayor Islamabad Saeed Zeeshan Ali, members of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various sports and civil Society organizations visited Riphah International Hospital, Sihala, and spent their time with young athletes from special persons. Prizes and shields were distributed among winners and runner-ups of the event.
