A property dealer committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed weapon at his house on Khayaban-e-Ittehad, Phase VII, Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
Gizri police station SHO Shabbir Ahmed said the police was informed about a shooting incident in the area.
A unit was rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Munawwar Ali from his house.
The SHO said the victim ran his own property business and since the weapon was also found at the scene, it was most likely a suicide.
The reason, however, could not be ascertained immediately, said Ahmed. Following an autopsy at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), the body was handed over to the heirs for burial.
