CADD to honour high achievers

Islamabad: The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) decided that cash prizes would be given away to students, teachers and educational institutions in the federal capital over the outstanding performance in the recent final examinations.

The division regulating the government schools and colleges in Islamabad Capital Territory through the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) also decided that a meeting of high-achievers would be arranged with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The decisions were made during meeting chaired by State Minister for CADD Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry here.

In attendance were the relevant CADD officials, FDE director general and officials, and area education officers.

 

World IP Day today

Islamabad: Intellectual Property (IP) Organisation of Pakistan will celebrate World Intellectual Property Day today (Wednesday), at Marriott Hotel, here at 10:30 am. The theme of this year IP Day is ‘Innovation - Improving Lives’, says a press release.

On this occasion, IPO-Pakistan Chairman Shahid Rashid will inaugurate the seminar. Other speakers include; John Dickerson, senior adviser Commercial Law Development Programme (CLDP) and Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC). Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, Minister of State, Ministry of Education will be the chief guest.

 

Conference on CPEC

Islamabad: FAST School of Management will hold a conference on ‘China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) -Myths and Realities’, tomorrow (Thursday) at the Islamabad Club from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., says a press release.
