LAHORE

Justice Erum Sajjad Gull of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail application of Muhammad Hanif who was accused of blinding a 9th class student, Aish Muhammad.

Accused person's sister Ms Parveen filed application seeking the release of her brother. Applicant counsel said that her brother had nothing to do with the case and was falsely implicated to humiliate him. He stated there was no source of information mentioned in the FIR lodged against him. The applicant alleged that the police had detained her brother.

A DSP of CIA police appeared and said a case was lodged against the accused. He said that Hanif was arrested on April 20 after rejection of his bail plea and an anti-terrorism court had sent him on physical remand until April 28. The judge after listening to DSP's statement dismissed the bail application.

The case was lodged against Hanif at Sundar police station under Section 324 of the PPC on complaint of victim's father Muhammad Javed. He alleged that Aish Muhammad, and his friend Waqar, were heading home on a motorbike after studies at a local academy when four unidentified people intercepted them and started beating the two.

He also alleged that the assailants attacked Aish’s eyes with knives and damaged one of his testicles in the attack. The motive for alleged crime was that Aish Muhammad had illicit relations with daughter of Hanif.
