Punjab DG anti-corruption ordered to provide info about corruption
LAHORE: The Punjab Information Commission has ordered director general anti-corruption to make public the details of investigations conducted into alleged misappropriation of millions of rupees public funds till April 27.
The Commission said in its order that the DG anti-corruption, in connivance with the officials of provincial information department and an advertising agency, caused loss of over Rs200 million to national exchequer.
However, the DG anti-corruption did not take an action on an application, filed by Sarmad Ali Advocate under the Right to Information Act 2013. The Commission has sought clarification from the DG anti-corruption in this regard.
The DG has been warned that action would be taken against him if he failed to provide the required information till April 27.
