Pakistan was target of ‘Mother of Bombs’: Siraj
PESHAWAR: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the attack of the Mother of Bombs at the Pak Afghan border was an attack on Islamabad and the silence of the rulers in this regard leaves a big question mark.
Addressing a JI Youth convention at Peshawar on Sunday, he said that nothing good was expected of the US, which had devastated Japan during the World War II by dropping two nuclear bombs.
The US wanted to destroy this entire region, he claimed. However, he said the silence of the rulers on this attack was a matter of deep concern. Sirajul Haq said that as and when there was talk for Afghan peace, the US hatched a conspiracy to sabotage these efforts. He said the only way to restore peace in Afghanistan was that the US pulled out its forces from there.
The JI chief said the people of the tribal areas wanted their merger with KP but the government had kept silent after making an announcement in this respect. He said the government was under the misconception that the tribal people would remain silent on the issue.
The people of the tribal areas would not rest till the oppressive FCR was abolished. Sirajul Haq said that terrorism was the gift of Pervez Musharraf who fell prostrate to a threat from Washington and the nation was suffering its consequences even today.
He said that the PML-N leaders had promised to end loadshedding within three months. It was the fourth year of their rule but there seemed to be no end to energy shortage, he said.Sirajul Haq said that the future of the country rests with its young generation.
