Traffic on Karachi-Hyderabad highway was cleared on Sunday afternoon after 15 hours of a gridlock that occurred when a speeding oil tanker overturned near Nooriabad on Saturday night.

No injuries were reported in the accident but it brought traffic flow to a complete standstill.

Hundreds of vehicles got stuck on both the tracks, leading to and from Karachi, after commuters on the affected side began going the wrong way, the police stated. Some ambulances were reported stuck in the traffic.

The trailer according to highway traffic authorities, flipped near Nooriabad while climbing the Lakki Marwat road.

The commuters on the tracks leading from Karachi to Hyderabad and Jamshoro to Karachi were forced to spend the night on the highway.
