Proposal to make A D Khowaja DG FIA

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is said to be considering appointing A D Khowaja as DG FIA.

The Sindh government, after disagreement on appointing Sardar Abdul Majeed as IGP Sindh, has proposed the name of the most senior officer of Grade 21 Ghulam Qadir Thebu as new the IGP Sindh.

Ghulam Qadir remained head of the Karachi Police twice and also served as IG Prisons in Sindh. It is learnt that during the current situation, Ghulam Qadir Thebu is being considered as the proper person for the post of IGP Sindh.

Online adds: The government has appointed Captain Babar Nawaz as IG Punjab as incumbent IG Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera will retire today (Monday).
