SUKKUR: While speaking to the media at the Sadh Belo temple near Sukkur, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on  Wednesday condemned the blast on the Bedian Road in Lahore, saying the government should fulfil its promises, such as those regarding forming a national security committee of parliament to address terrorism-related issues.

The PPP chairman said, “The National Action Plan is not being implemented by the federal government and its apathy is causing these incidents of terrorism. There are many points of the NAP that have not been addressed, such as the re-emergence of banned organisations under new names or the judicial reforms or action against terrorists in Punjab.”

When asked when he would enter Punjab, the PPP chairman responded, “I keep on visiting Punjab and keep working there. I am travelling to Lahore tomorrow.” He said that PPPP would support the implementation of NAP, adding that the people of Pakistan were passing through a warlike situation and sacrificing their lives in terrorist attacks.

Bilawal was at the temple for lunch hosted by PPP leader Khursheed Shah. Upon his arrival, Bilawal was welcomed by the PPPP Sukkur’s leaders. According to the in-charge of the event, a special menu had been prepared for Bilawal, which included vegetable curry, rice bread, chickpea curry and many other dishes, besides various seasonal fruits. Other leaders of the party from KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab also attended the lunch hosted by Khursheed Shah.

When Bilawal by reached at Sadh Belo temple, a turban was presented to him as a gift. Billawal Bhutto Zardari was also briefed about the history of the Sadh Belo temple and ongoing development work on it.
