Censorship in Pak digital space rising
BRUSSELS: Nighat Dad, a Pakistani woman heading the Digital Rights Foundation, has told the European Parliament that digital development, e-Pakistan and smart cities are being talked about in Pakistan but all that is devoid of human rights element, reports foreign media. Expressing her views on Wednesday, she told the parliament that censorship in the digital space was on the rise and five bloggers went missing a couple of months back in Pakistan. She said people were being arrested under the cybercrimes law which was quite concerning.
