Child injured in Landikotal blast
LANDIKOTAL: A boy was injured in an explosion near a security checkpost in Kam Shalman locality, official sources said on Wednesday.
However, there was no human loss in another blast in Pirokhel area of Landikotal tehsil late Tuesday night. The sources said that a time device planted near the Chinar checkpost in Kam Shalman hills went off that injured a passerby boy.
As the blast occurred, the security forces personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. They collected evidence from the site and started investigation. The injured child was identified as Akbar, a resident of Ashkhel area of Landikotal tehsil.
He was taken to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Landikotal.Assistant Political Agent Niaz Muhammad and Tehsildar Irshad Ali Mohmand visited the hospital and inquired about the health of the injured.
It may be mentioned that two Khassadars were killed in the attacks carried out by miscreants in Khyber Agency in the past six months. Last week, Khassadar Shakoor was shot dead in Jamrud tehsil in Khyber Agency.
