Media’s enhanced role urged to highlight health-related issues
CHITRAL: Speakers at a seminar on Wednesday urged for media’s enhanced role in raising awareness among the people to highlight health-related issues and control spread of diseases.
The Agha Khan Health Service Pakistan had organised the media seminar.Project Manager Central Asian Health System Strategic Project (CAHSSP) of Agha Khan Health Service Pakistan, Mirajuddin, social organiser Sajjad Zarin and others spoke on the occasion.
Mirajuddin said that CAHSSP had been working for bringing improvement in the professional skills of health staff, community health and promotion of research in the field of health sector in Northern districts, Chitral, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kirghizstan.
Deputy District Health Officer Dr Fayyaz Roomi highlighted the role of media and raising awareness among the people about health-related issues.
