Jimmy wants to strengthen Pak-China ties

World renowned Pakistani artist, social worker and peace activist Jimmy Engineer has expressed his desire to strengthen the existing cultural ties and promote people-to-people contact between China and Pakistan.

According to e message received here from Beijing, China, Jimmy Engineer said this while talking to a select gathering of artists and art lovers at China Peace Garden Museum in Beijing. Pakistani artist is in Beijing these days in connection with his solo art show “Culture, Art and Heritage of Pakistan” at the National Art Museum of China.

He said that he was looking forward to working in close cooperation with the Chinese artists and social workers to further strengthen and promote people to people-to-people contacts between the two countries which enjoyed time-tested friendly relations.

Appreciating the artwork of the Chinese artists, Jimmy said that they were doing excellent work and making very useful contributions to the world of arts. He said he was keen to serve the Chinese people as an artist, philanthropist, social worker and peace activist in whatever manner possible.

Throwing light on different aspects of life and art, Jimmy said through his art, prints of about his selected 100 paintings depicting Pakistan ‘s Independence and migration of the Muslims to their new homeland, landscaper, architecture and pencil sketches of old Chinese icons from different fields which were on display in the exhibition, the first-ever by any Pakistani artist, he had tried to show to the Chinese people that Pakistanis were creative people and were capable of producing excellent artwork. He also told the audience about his activities and awareness programmes for the special children.
