The agreement was signed between NDMA Chairman Major General Asghar Nawaz and Country Director WFP, Finbarr Curran, here in Islamabad on Monday.

This support provided by World Food Programme (WFP) is in line with a broader MoU signed between NDMA & WFP under PPRO (2016-2018). Under the Agreement the funds would be utilized on the activities and trainings of School Safety Programme, Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Programme and overall strengthening and capacity enhancement of NDMA, PDMAs and DDMAs in all aspects of Disaster Risk Management.
