NAVTTC, Baitul Mal agree on cooperation
Islamabad: National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Baitul Mal on Friday held a meeting to encourage the former’s trainees in the field of business and entrepreneurship for achieving economic stability.
NAVTTC executive director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, Pakistan Baitul Mal managing director Abid Waheed Sheikh and their aides attended the meeting at the NAVTTC headquarters here. In the meeting, various ways and means of enhancing the quality of training, capacity building of the students, and enhancing of the quality of institutes were discussed.
The NAVTTC executive director told visitors about the recent initiatives of the NAVTTC, especially the skill competitions, which were held across the country. He said the competitions had not only promoted a healthy competitive environment but also generated great interest among the students towards skill sector.
“We intend to double the number of trainees in the next phase of the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme,” he said. The NAVTTC executive director called for close collaboration between the two organisations in making the skill sector vibrant.
