Two shot at, injured by robbers

LAHORE

Two persons were shot at and wounded by robbers in different parts of the city.

Some robbers shot at and wounded a citizen Rana Masood on resistance in City Raiwind area, and deprived him of Rs30,000.

In another incident, robbers shot at and wounded a citizen in the limits of Yakki Gate police station. The injured man, yet to be identified, was admitted to hospital. 

ARRESTED: Manga Mandi police arrested a man on charges of shooting his brother to death, following a property issue.

The accused Shahzad of Tariqabad had shot his brother Zeeshan to death and portrayed the murder as suicide. The accused had murdered his brother over a property issue, police said, adding that the murder weapon was also recovered from his possession.

INJURED: Five persons were injured in a collision between a rickshaw and a tractor trolley on Ring Road China Scheme on Friday.

Upon being informed, the rescuers rushed to the scene and shifted the injured persons to a local hospital where condition of two persons was said to be critical.

Yet in another incident, two persons Bilal and Zikria got injuries when their speeding car dashed into footpath near Qartaba Chowk.

Similarly, PHP registered nine cases against owners for displaying fake registration number plates on their vehicles.

Furthermore, Punjab Highway Patrol arrested 13 persons, including nine gamblers and recovered cash and other goods from their possession.

ACCIDENTS: Total 749 road traffic accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which seven lives were lost and 646 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts and tehsils.

However, some 230 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by Emergency Medical Teams.
