LAHORE
Pleasant, dry and clear weather is expected in the provincial metropolis on Tuesday (today) after a pleasantly mild Monday with the sun warming up the city over 20 degrees Celsius.
Although it would be presumptuous to say that spring is here already as the weather can take a turn back to its cold ways, yet the steady rise in temperature and the warmish 21degrees on Tuesday surely hints at the possibility of an early spring season.
The temperature has been progressively making its way up the Celsius scale since the first week of January after the westerly system washed away the fog-guard against the sun. Although the rain has resulted in snowfall up north and the rain in the northern and north central country caused the cold to sustain, however, due to the low volume of rain in the planer areas has given way to the sun making its presence felt.
The minimum temperature in the city after sundown was 6 degrees which shows that the winter has not completely lost its strength. The maximum in the country was -9 at Parachinar.
In the next 24 hours, rain/thunderstorm (Snowfall over the hills) is expected at scattered places of Quetta, Makran, Zhob, Karachi, Larkana divisions, while at isolated places in Kalat and Gilgit-Baltistan.
